Burte Harris, Kay Davis, Fran Alec / Jamesport 2001There is something very special about the members of the Polish Town Civic Association.  That something special is the spirit that gave life to Polish Town USA and all the bright tomorrows that lie ahead.  The spirit lives in the hearts of the people who have made and continue to make Polish Town USA a very special lace.  It motivates their lives.  They are a SPECIAL BREED who devote endless hours of their time.  The re-birth of Polish Town has brought out the best in people.  The dream began in 1975 and the dreamers are still here - working to make Riverhead's Polish Town a very special place. 

Starting in 1975, the Polish Town Civic Association grew out of the need for the community to be able to represent and promote itself within Riverhead, Suffolk County, Long Island, New York, the nation, and the world.  At the dawn of a new millennium, the organization voted to include a policy change from one presidency to three Executive Presidents for a two year term. This was in effect from 2001-2002. In 2003, the organization returned to the current structure.
